Where to get new heater core and blower motor for my 71 Demon? I'm rebuilding my heater box and can't find a new heater core or Blower motor anywhere. None of the parts houses can get either of them. Checked Classic Industries and the heater core is on back order with no eta available and they don't even list a blower motor.

You could take your heater core to a radiator shop to have it "refreshed " and take your blower motor to an electric shop for a "rebuild." It's getting harder and harder to find new parts for our old gals.

Well, then go without. You risk that with even the best parts......which you cannot find anymore.

That's why I would take your original to a shop and have them go through it.

How is he sure it's the original? If it's a cheap replacement and it's seen years of use, it may not live to be refurbished. Worth a shot if he doesn't want the Rock Auto one. I almost took mine and filled it up with POR15 and drained it when I replaced it. Almost.

All I could find were 3. This is the least expensive one. It appears to be copper. I'd send a message asking if it is and if it is, I'd snag it.

Check with Len Dawson Mopar. He shows to have one original Chrysler heater core in stock. Chrysler part number 3879303.

I had to have my bottom radiator hose moved from the left to right, when I removed the 273 outta the 66 and put the 340 in.. dude was old School, and Bad... in 2010 or so, it was 40 bucks. . Real Wizard, learned from his PA, had this old evil looking vat in the middle of his shop, a Old building, by the ship yards, he made his cash off the semi's and punk kids w/ junk. I dealt w/ him a few times, and always sent biz his way, found out later he was known amongst the crowd. Mileys...7th Ave, east of Ybor, he'd light a cigar w/ his brazing torch, and tell ya old Mopar stories. I found him by accident, but if he didn't like ya, or your junk, he'd send ya. I seen him do it. Asked him why, once, after he'd politely turned down a guy, said, " Man, I don't need to do that, and these new parts are such thin junk...he loved copper and brass... Shops gone now.. hope he's ok..

We had a similar shop in Macon. Ben's Macon Radiator. In business since the 40s, but, urban blight and crime are eating Macon up alive. The block Ben's was in had several businesses that were close to the hearts of all things mechanical. Ben's of course and the other main one right across the street, Georgia Tool. They both went out a year or so ago within six months of each other. Really sad day. I've had Ben's build me many a radiator back before all these fancy aluminum ones. Just a superb job they did. The shop, much like you describe, BIG vat in the middle of the shop. Dying breeds for sure.

It's Sad.... it really is. Dude lived in Plant City, I'll bet Roy knew of him. Put it like this, I pulled up, in a 20 year old Dodge work truck, asked him if he worked on old radiators, he asked " what's it for", I told him an old Mopar, I was wearing a " nicer " lol shirt w/ a collar, think I was out trying to bid a job, but the first thing he did, was look down at my work boots... don't get me wrong, he knew his game, had some #s cores there, told me some stuff bout that. When he seen I just wanted my old car to run ( without overheating) he was just another Solid Southern Redneck Old School Mopar Muscle Car lover

Yep, we had a similar shop in Yonkers NY, without the cool guy smoking his cigar of course.
It was called Saw Mill Radiator. Same concrete vat in the center of the shop, they would braise anything, and as a kid, I use to like to watch when they dipped the radiator in the acid. Theyre gone now. I found out they regulated him out of business, too many chemicals in the open air.
I'm sure it wasn't the healthiest environment, but sad to see them go.
Now we're stuck with plastic and aluminum radiators and heater cores.

I agree. The older I get, i realize the less regulation I want.
