Hoping to start the 383 swap later this month.Using the B body headers and the Schumacher mounts, with auto trans.
What are the options for the starter? Dakota, Mopar mini?I see 440 source has one available. Trying to keep the costs down$$$.

The car has a 6cyl with the factory floor shifter. What mods are required to use it with the big block and 727 trans.
Thanks Jason

I assume you are saying it is factory floor shift automatic. If so, factory floor shift linkage for your body style with 727 will fit on a big block 727 if it has the all correct mounting ears in tact on the case.
What B-body headers are you planning use? Most good B-body headers, such as Hooker Comp or Supercomp, will not fit the small A-body engine compartment. TTI A-body headers will allow the use of any factory-style Nippondenso based starter, from parts store replacements, to Mopar, to aftermarket.

I got my starter from a 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.2 Magnum so you can use that as a vehicle when you are ready to get it.

Thanks Trailbeast. I ordered this sweet little unit today for my 383 $163 Can. It is for the 1995 and older trucks. Appears to have the + post offset for block clearance. Will let you know if it works when I do my mock-up.
