I searched through some older forums on this subject but I can't seem to find the correct trim rings for 8 inch wide rallyes. I was looking for some trim rings specifically for an 8 wide wheel. I did find these below but not sure if they'll work or not because I heard some of wheel vintiques trim rings don't fit Chrysler wheels. What are you guys running on your 8 inch wide rallyes? Is there another brand I need to check out? Thanks 15x8 Rallye Trim Ring It says for rallye wheel but not if its Chrysler or Chevy rallye.
I used the wheel vintiques. Pictures below on a 8 & 10 inch wheel vintiques ralley. No gap on the 8. Small gap on the 10.
That's looks sharp. Are these the one you used for the back? Says for aftermarket wheel. Wheel Vintiques 3002-A: Trim Ring 15 x 8" | JEGS
It appears so. I was on the Summit site. I went to there search bar and used the “Wheel Vintiques” trim ting for the “Ralley Wheel.” Polished Wheel Vintiques Trim Rings 3003-P Brushed Wheel Vintiques Trim Rings 3003-B-1
Those links say they fit 15x7. The 8" Super Coupe wheels used a 15x7 3" deep ring so on those wheels there was a gap from the factory.
Actually the Super coupe wheels were 15 x 7 and 15 x 8 , they had 15 x 7 and 15 x 8 rings for them. But because the difference between a steel wheel ( on the center size 13.25 ) and a ralley wheel ( on the center size 12.25.). The rings don't cross over well. The coupe ring fasten to the outer part of the band and the ralley fastens to the inside of the band. Frank
Every one I have seen has 15x8s & that is what the package information says too - http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/images/dealerships/DealershipDataBook/1978/78_Aspen_0027.jpg
Ok , I will stand corrected , Super Coupe styled wheels. Agreed the Aspen and Volare kit cars had 15 x 8 wheels. Some of the other F/M/J bodies had the 15 x 7 wheels. I would like to do an Aspen or Volare wagon , with 15 x 7 and 15 x 8 wheels. Frank
If it helps at all..... The 15x7 cop wheels have the center register nubs for hub caps & the 15x8 Super Couple wheels do not.
