A few weeks ago I decided I would make the 2 hour trip to the track in West Lebanon NY. Never been to that track and they had an all Mopar weekend consisting of a swap meet, show and racing for many different classes. All Mopars. Saw some great cars and hadn't been to a 1/4 mile track for a very long time. Except for not dressing properly for the temps I had a great time although I couldn't find anyone available to kill a good chunk of the day. My wife had no urge to get up at 6:00 AM. I have no problem going to car events without anyone since I basically talk to anyone. Especially with common interests. There were a lot of beautiful cars in the show but I have to admit my favorite was a survivor 69 A-12 Superbee. It was straight, and had no rot. Wasn't all shiny and perfect either. Matching number car with a big ole pistol grip shifter. Also saw what I think was a husband and wife race against each other. The guy had a very healthy sounding 340 Challenger and the wife a 71 Cuda convertible that sounded good as well.....They had to be in there 60's if I had to guess....Awesome sight to see.....Great day. Can't wait til next year already.
