Anyone know where I can get an upper dash pad for a 68 Dart ?

kind of in a hurry, need it for a show coming up in a couple weeks but not sure where I can find one.

thanks

Got mine from BE&A. Ordered it through Dave at Roseville. He has a discount for online forum members. Really good price and it arrived very fast. I ordered dash bezels from him too....cheaper then buying direct from BE&A.

You trying to get ready for Bandimere? No idea on the dash!

Yes, I'll be at Bandimere on Sunday for the Mopars at Thunder Mountain event. Been going to it for years, but this will be the first time bringing my Dart.

I ordered my dashpad from BE&A Restorations this morning. Mike hasn't updated his website, but he does carry the 68 only upper dashpad. He was easy to deal with, and we'll see on Friday what the pad looks like when it arrives.

So how did this work out for you?

Worked out good. Didn't get it in time for the Bandimere show cause the shipping would have been too much.
But I did receive it a few days later. Nice looking dashpad. I was thinking this was a "new" pad, like a reproduction, but I think its actually a refurbished original. Don't know this for sure but that's how it looks to me.
One thing weird what the studs coming out of the back side were a little short. Much shorter than the studs on my original. And the threads were a little buggered up on a couple of them. On a couple of them, I could not use the original type nut which I think you would call them speed nuts because the studs were so short. I had to use a standard type nut.

Also the dashpad seems to have a slight twist in it. Its like the top of the dashpad is level (front to back) on the passenger side, but as it gets to the drivers side it's sloping towards me a little. It's very slight, and I doubt that anyone would ever notice it besides me. It bothers me a little, but not enough to make me want to send it back.
Over all it looks good, 100% better than my old cracked and broken original, but was a little disappointed in the overall quality.

As far as service, Mike was really east to deal with, and the pad was shipping quickly.

Thanks for sharing your experience with this part and vendor Milehighdart.
Dash pads are a problem spot for many of us and the 68 design
with a joining lower pad makes for a more complex fit for vendors to get right.
Did they require your core pad?
I have a rebuilt pad for my 69 dart from ultimate rides out of El Paso Tx.
It has a few quirks as far as smoothness on top and fit on the lower outside corners.
They used a factory steel core so bolting it on was no problem. It does seem very durable
like the vinyl skin is a little thicker than stock. Grain is close.
I am looking for a different vendor for my 68 because of how the lower and upper pads
connect. This area was a little off on my 69 can't see them doing better on the 68 pad.
