Hello all. New member here. My first car was a 1970 Charger, it was 10 years old when I got it. I got T-boned in it, so that was the end of that. My second vehicle shortly after that was a 1970 D100 pickup, which I still own, and am in the process of restoring it. I was researching factory radios for the truck, and found that it came with AM only. Further research found that some 1971 crew cabs came with an AM/FM unit, so I found one on eBay and will use that. During my research, for some reason I developed a strong interest in the thumbwheel radios, which the one I bought for my truck is one of. So now I’m trying to put together a data base of all the different thumbwheel radios that Mopar used. And that is part of why I’m here. Also, I’ve found that some parts for my old D100 pickup were identical or very close to some parts in the different cars of the same period. So between this forum, the B body forum and the others, I should have a much easier time finding some parts which may not be available specifically for the truck, but are still available for some of the cars. Besides all that, it’s just fun to peruse the forums to see what others have done, their rides, the resources they’ve been able to locate, etc. And Mopars just have a certain style about them that plain-Jane Fords and Chevys don’t. Long live Mopars!

Only been to Canada once. Crossed over to Sarnia from some place in Michigan. Went to the casino and spent a roll of quarters. To tell you how “country come to town” I am, the little blonde waitress at the restaurant asked my wife and I if we were Americans. My very first thought, because she had absolutely no accent of any kind (I guess I thought she should sound French or something) was, yes, aren’t you? Silly me, and I didn’t say anything, but yeah, I did that. I’d love to go to Canada and just hang out for a week, some place not crowded, maybe a small town. Anyway, thanks for the welcome!

Welcome to FABO!
I too owned a 70 Charger, Custom 500, 383/727, Buckets, Console...one of those that got away!
Post up some pics when you can!
