1963 170 originally. A 1968 Truck 225 installed along the way. This looks like the correct pre 66 pan correct? Why add 2 more drain plugs?

Might have been installed in a piece of equipment and access to the factory plug was limited.

??Might of been is some industrial equipment with poor access? EG some of the sno cats used Mopar 318's I don' t know what else.

Oil changing contest? What team can do it quickest?

some industrial fork lifts and generators used not only 318s but the slant 6 all the way up until the mid 2000s. There were in boats in the 90s using the slant 6.

really fast oil changes; by the time you get the last one out, you can start putting them back in,lol.

Yeah, it's obvious the engine ran the 24 hrs of LeMans and 12 hrs at Sebring.

But really, as mentioned, better access when installed in industrial equipment. Or the original was stripped.

We used to have an aircraft tug with a poly head 318 in it. Another company I had worked for had a diesel re-power job replacing a 354 CID gen I Hemi.

Old folks home I did a nurse call at had a nat gas 225 generator in the basement.

Electrical school I attended as a student had a 318 generator which we were replacing at the time with a big Caterpillar.

Used lots in ag industry, swathers and hay wagons for sure. The chrysler flatheads were in lots of combines.

Recently attended a large farm equipment auction near Tucson and there was a SL6 powered nut tree shaker.
