i'd like to switch from drums(9") to wilwood disc brakes up front but wondering if they just attach to the stock spindle or if the kit comes with new spindles.

What the difference between 70-72 spindles and 73+ spindles?

You might want to follow the post "Good Idea/or Bad". This disc conversion is from Engineered Components, Inc., but I think they follow the same concept, except utilize a GM caliper/rotor. I don't know about your 9" drum, but ECI's web site hints they have a solution. The '73+, if you can find them, would probably also need to include all of the requisite brakes/calipers/a-arms...unless you like scavenger hunts....

You can order the Wilwood Dynalite Pro from Mancini Racing that fits the drum spindle on 62-72 A-body.

We have the kit for the +73 spindle and it´s really a nice kit, we will put it on this weekend if everything works out as planned.

You use your old spindle with the Wilwoods. The main difference between the '72 down and '73 up is the '73 up uses a larger upper ball joint.
