Windshield seal and trim. 73 Duster

Trying to install lower windshield trim and unsure how. Windshield has been replaced and seal. Seal seems to be a bit different and I'm not sure if it needs to be trimmed or if I'm doing something wrong. Rubber flap like part runs along bottom so trim won't fit.

Looks like you may need a new seal .

Figured it out. You cut the rope insert at the edge of the indicated piece, remove the rope and tuck the piece in question into where the rope is along the bottom. WooHoo, trim on!
