Hi Folks, I'm looking into going to the Woodward Ave Dream Cruise in August. Its a long way from where I live so I want to be sure its worth the trip. I've heard that many car clubs get their members together for this so I was wondering does FABO do the same? I'm also going to visit the 2018 Atlantic Nationals as well in July and will be driving my Cuda to both events. Anyone else participating in these events? Be great to meet some of the members here in person.
If your making a long drive, I'd recommend coming down during the week prior, or even the weekend before. I assume they'll do it again, but Roadkill (the tv show) shuts down Woodward the weekend prior, and they do drag racing, and Dodge sets up a big event at the racetrack right on Woodward. I usually head down during the week with my Duster, your able to cruise then and check everything out. If you go the day of, expect to put your cooling system to work, traffic is at a stand still. If your down by the 14 mile area, it can take you an hour to go a mile depending on time of day.
I went 2 years before. I stayed at the Red Roof Inn in Troy. Overall, it's a fun event. There are a couple FABO members I met up there while I was over. I don't recall their exact screen names.
