Wrong Pivot?

Do I have the wrong pivot?
I bought the 12.5” fork but it keeps getting pushed in further than the contact on the throughout bearing. So I pulled the pivot, and I think it’s wrong. Overall, It’s about 1 1/4” long. I think it should be about 1 7/8” long. Can anyone verify I have the wrong pivot?

I’m working on 4 speed conversion. ‘71 Dart 318. I bought the parts off of Craigslist so I don’t know what I have. I do have the correct bellhousing and 10.5” clutch for a small block A-body.

I dunno, but I like your garbage can workbench. I used to use my leased plastic garbage can as a workbench, too. I once got a nasty gram from the garbage collection company for misusing their property by using it to paint my car parts on, hahaha.

But they are great bench tops!!! hahahaha. I better be careful....I sometimes spray paint parts on top of my garbage can.

A word of warning, the Mopar clutch pivot failed in my '66 Valiant with '71 Demon 340 Engine & 4 speed after I switched to a Lakewood bell housing. It overhangs the mounting pad & is not supported.
I replaced it with one made from 5/16 angle iron. Otherwise extend the mounting pad.

Thanks!!! I’m using the stock bellhousing and it looks like there is enough mounting pad.
