Howdy Folks
Im needing i think 72 up cast crank 318 single pulley .. crank & water pump pulleys !
My 70 340 crank pulley is off 1 bolt no matter how i turn it on 318 & was told i needed 72 - up crank pulley !
car still has stock 340 alternator mount & belt position !
correct me if im wrong ?
Thanks & LMK what you got ?

If the grooves line up, most people elongate the one hole that is off and bolt it on with no problems. The pattern was changed in the early '70's, I believe.

Yes i found that out the hard way !
just dont want to wallow out hole & was trying to find a single groove crank pulley for 318 !
Any one got this ??

Sure hope its right ?
did not think it was going to be hard to find single groove 318 crank pulley ?
if not i think i will do the 5 bolt way !
Thanks

..........i've taken some off with only 5 bolts on as they didnot modify the pulley...or put ur 340 damper on...kim......

'72 and newer were evenly spaced.....71 and older had the one hole staggered. The replacements from Chrysler had the one hole slotted so that is no problem on doing it. Leaving one bolt out will throw off the engine balance slightly.
