I set at a stop light and watched one of those negotiating a corner in sapulpa , okla. once , cop backed us way back , was pretty interesting , forget how many tires that thing had on it . Swinging axle pods turned by guys walking beside w/ remote controls .

Big money...my son is in that biz. Years ago he hauled mining equipment out of the iron range in MN to Detroit where it got loaded on a ship and went to China ( where else?).

Those loads were in the 250,000 lb. range and paid around $40,000. Now he has been hauling wind turbine blades.

Big money for sure but you have to pay for permits ($10k and up), escort service and the like.
 
The cost just to move it is probably a number that wouldn't even make sense....... Major, major money. I wonder what the cost of the rigger was versus the cost of the Transformer?

There is a yacht manufacturer here in town who makes wind turbine blades

That's about the biggest load I ever saw coming through my town
