Hi,Im 12 years old. I just bought a 1968 dodge dart with my own money and I think i personally got a good deal. Its a 6cyl auto. on the drivers side it will need either a full quarter or a half quarter. The odometer says 8,162 miles ,does anybody know if it turned over or how In can tell? Thanks, The car has been sitting for 24 years and it is a one owner car. org. paint. This is going to be a project over a four year time span until I can drive. (the first few pics are at the members house(80fbody) with me picking it up,theres one of me with the car. The car is getting pp1 red paint with black top and black int. buckets, with a four speed or a auto 360 with a 8 3/4. does anybody have any interest in the rallies or the 270 trim? Thanks ,heres some pics

if i were you i would scrape that Trooper sticker off. nice 68! i think you can get lower quarters as long as there is no other rust and damage.

This is what I plan it to look like when done. first im going to strip the whole car and put it on dollies.

Thats a good looking goal! I like color matched wheels with dog dishes.

This morning,I started stripping the drivers side door panel. (bagging and tagging). under the torn up door panel there is the green cork board kind of stuff. does anybody know how I can get the cork off without damaging it? or is there no way? Thanks alot in advance

If it's the baseboard in post #3, that should be the actual door panel and the black is the overlay that's basically glued on. You can use a wide flat screwdriver to glide underneath the edge and just pop off the clips that hold it into the door, but I'd recommend you run down to your local O'Reilly or whatever and grab a trim removal tool...looks like a small pry bar with a split spade head...it spreads out the load so you can pry the door panel or trim panel off without tearing the clips out of the baseboard.

Wow, you're an inspiration to us all. :-D Welcome to FABO!!!

Somebody's got to introduce you to CudaGirl Nella. I think you might've just snagged her "Youngest FABO Member" title right out from under her floorboards.

Make yourself at home and keep us posted on your progress! And when you get to that point when it's time to doll that beastie up a bit, call me ... your generation is the future of our hobby and I'm a very vigorous supporter of Young Guns and Young Huns.

Cole...you are the man brother.
That's a great find and I know you'll get it just like you want it.
It's great that you have a place to work on it.

Thanks to you too.
Mine's currently getting new paint. I just had the vinyl top done. Did the headliner myself with help from my brother and it came out awesome.
Hoping to have it back by next weekend.
Your's is very nice and really won't take much to get that body whole again. It looks very solid overall.
You have the right guys helping you for sure.

My dad does not know really, because its been sitting for 24 years were thinking that its a 8,000 mile car. The org owner sold it to the guy I bought it from. but the guy I bought it from did not title it or insure it or anything. so it only has one registered owner. when the guy who I bought it from got it,he just let it sit in his backyard for three years. The guy I bought it from bought a new head for it and its on it. what Im thinking is that The org. owner ran it until he hurt the head and then he parked it until this guy got it

update, got the glove box door bezal off and both door panels
