Hello, everyone. I'm 18 years old and a few days ago I was lucky enough to obtain the keys to a 1964 Plymouth Barracuda from a close friend of mine who I've been building and racing with the past couple of years. The car is in damn good shape, I just need to replace the driver side quarter panel and the windshield. I joined the forums to gain some more knowledge on the car and to help with anything I can. I will be posting pictures of the car later on. So, um, hello! :glasses7:

Welcome to the site! Sounds like you got a nice car there. Can't wait to see the pics!

Welcome from the great state of Texas, post some pictures when you get the chance.

Alright, I mentioned I got the keys, however I hadn't gotten to actually look at the car, and when I finally got the chance earlier this morning I was a bit confused, I noticed something was wrong but not exactly sure what. I wrote down the VIN and ran it through a decoder, and to my surprise the decoder read that it was a 1966, regardless I was happy enough that I recieved a beautiful piece of American Muscle and here are some pictures. (I even included some other projects, and some are not A-bodies, but I read you enjoy your car ****.) The white car is the 66 Baracuda, the plum purple car on the trailer is our 1968 Barracuda drag car, the rusted out purple car is a 1968 Barracuda Formula S, and the red primer car is a 71 Challanger drag car.

Welcome, nice to see another 66! Lookslike a solid project, too bad the whole quarter panel was cut off, that will be difficult to find, one year only part.

Very hard to find, but I think we have a member here with a 66 valiant sedan that he has turned upside down with a coplete good looking 1/4 but I can not find it now :banghead: It was upside down showing the driver's side..

I think that was a 4-door car, he will need a full 2-door quarter. It looks like his was cut on the top where the top trim spear goes, if you use a Valiant fender this will be different cause the trim was way shorter, this area is recessed under the trim so it can fit nice to the body, may be the best to get a barracuda one.

Welcome to FABO great site glad to see another 66 cuda saved, nice collection of mopars, whats the story on the valiant behind the challenger there are some valiant lovers here.

Thank you everybody. The quarter panel is already taken care, sure gotta finish up some welding and it'll be good to go. Ordering a rebuild kit for a 360 magnum I snagged from my uncle to throw in the Barracuda. I don't know too much about the Valiant other than it's my uncle's next project and it's a wicked light car, 3 other guys and 1 can lift that sucker up.

Welcome, good to see the hobby being continued by another one of the young (yours tuely included), again welcome :D

Sweet '67! What color is that? I was looking at the 70 or 71 Deep or Dark Burnt Orange color for my '66, but looking for other variants.

Glad to see another young gun seeing "the light" instead of messing with foreign cookie cutter junk... Welcome aboard Fishsole
