You have to realize that the water pump pushes 35-37GPM all the time. at idle and at WOT. Trust me these things flow plenty of coolant.

Wanna sell it Lol.
Do you happen to have the part number maybe would like to know if your getting by with the lower 35 gpm. If so saves quite a bit of cash
Going with the CSR pump
A little cheaper and does reach the 37gpm. Roughly 325 plus plate and fitting
so I'm curious - what's the advantage to the electric pump? is there a significant HP gain?
A little maybe surely not worth the hassle. But I'm ok with it, money is always a issue but after the all the money I have wrapped up in it so farso I'm curious - what's the advantage to the electric pump? is there a significant HP gain?
that is kind of where I am at - cool looking and all -- but IS it worth it.....???A little maybe surely not worth the hassle. But I'm ok with it, money is always a issue but after the all the money I have wrapped up in it so far
I'm not gonna let a few hundred bucks
Stop me
hum... I am going to have to see what Edelbrock says about the unit I am running...I've read mechanical pumps can take around 15 hp to run off the engine.

Edelbrock 8877 - which I like and it ain't broke.. but I do have the engine out right now and 15hp is 15 hp...If you have a cast iron unit, or you simply need a new pump then it is worth consideration.
If you want reverse cooling I believe it is your only option available.
Yep no high volume oil pump for me
I'm not a newbie at the hotrod thing I really like track but just can't take mine off the street
And in my experience the little things have always added up to a large grin.
I just ordered precisions blueprinted stock volume oil pump. I like what they did with it and I also have the Kevco 7qt kick out pan.I also run a stock oil pump. I am running a 6 qt. Kevco pan.

Just hope this rhs/Indy heads can do the trick
How much convertor you run in yours
I am running a Quick Fuel 750 race on an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap - I have a 1" old school spacer on it right now with a PCV port. Here's a thought - do you think adding an HVH 1" into the mix would do anything? Might be an interesting experiment... on top of or under the spacer I currently have...?It's HP all across the curve too.
An HVH super sucker makes 10-15hp on every dyno test I've ever done with one and I've done a few. They cost 100$ and you could keep your water pump.
