We did a "humpectomy" on jasons 1963 valiant with the 1965 parts car. Sheet metal part is done.

Now we are onto the wiper, pivots, motor and linkage. Here's where we hit a snag.

I was hoping to use the stainless steel bolt on 63 wipers and pivots, but they are substantially different than the 65 pieces. Here's some pics for reference.

So I guess our question is what parts can we mix and match?

Is there anyway to keep the 63 style arms?

Or am I better off finding some later model stainless arms? And if so, what inter changes with the 65?

Thank you in advance. Eric and Jason

The 64 Valiant and Barracuda had bolt on arms so I would think a 64 linkage would work for you with the modified mount you put in for the motor. I had a set that I threw out a few years ago sorry.

Ok. So 64 wiper pivots with the 65 linkage and 63 arms would work.

Wow. That took a lot of energy just to say. Lol

All i done to my 63 Valiant was pull the firewall back about an 1 and half till the disb. fit and still used my same wiper motor and everything else,And it work just like always,JUST SAYIN took about 30 mins.

I did that also on my 63 valiant 25 years ago.

But we had a 65 parts car, and wanted this project to come out as clean as possible. I have no regrets about swapping firewalls.

Just have to figure out which pivots work with which arms

What hei distributor did you use? I'm looking at one of those skip white distributors with the little chrome box on the side. Cleaning up wiring now
