Stop in for a cup of coffee

Indeed.

It's always fun trying to decipher what had been done to the house over the years. We were using a photo of the house from the 50s to determine what more modern parts to tear off to get it closer to the original state.

The area is pretty cool... view of the Sakonnet River on Narragansett Bay. The town owns the old manor property that is across the road

30 islands on that bay, must be beautiful

The price gouging is out of control. I am not for more rules or laws, it just ruins an event.

Side note but semi related. A local rockabilly hot rod weekend show was all about traditional pre 1964 rod rods, greasers, poodle skirts, etc. They got so popular they are now using most of the parking for camping (more $$$). We got my son's hot rod done and drove both there last fall. Show is full, don't care you brought a car, don't care where you park - just somewhere else, $20 per person please. Really, so it is just a party now with the same "friends" cars every year. Nothing new, camping parties, drunks everywhere. Not sure I will go back.

When it becomes about just about the money, it ruins it for me. I think when local hospitalities are gouging for an event, the event should promote ones that don't or move to another location. I know that is very difficult, but then those places get nothing, instead of full book and gouging. Places like Bonneville, well we are screwed - only so many places. Rant done
Thing is, people are willing to pay the tab.but there is no other choice.

oh, morning!
78 degrees. Second sea day.
St Maartin tomorrow.

Well not much thawing going on down here. Right at zero this morning. Holy smokes, never thought I would see that here at home. I have been nose to grind stone sorting and prepping brass. It is years and years of accumulated brass of varied calibers. We are talking thousands. I can only tumble about 400 cases per cycle. Once tumbled I resize and de prime. This weather breaks I am busting out of the gun shop!

Good Morning Mopar Maulers !!!
Bout an inch of snow on the ground here, 32deg. Daughter has an MVA appointment at 9am this morning. Comprehensive test.
I haven't seen snow or had to drive on in bout 6 years. The reason why I am usually Outa Here by November.....

Got around 5 here and 23 out!
Granular! :)
Not that I ski, but it does make for easier shoveling and sweeping.
Actually if it wasnt for the nieghbors I'd just leave it. pretty good traction unless it gets compacted into ice. (which it will - we're not cold enough to keep it crunchy)

Morning 10 above here .

You are smart to "roll your own". Ammo proposed to go up again 12 percent and I'll save why for another forum.

and that is when a great show turns to just people with money. It loses the core group that would have all been there for the long haul. The people with money, it is just typically a fad, until the next thing that strikes there interest. No loyalty with those people.

Also, know it is cold out when walking on the snow it sounds like Styrofoam.

I love it when you can walk on top of the snow.
sadly its already at or above freezing here - probably the effect of the delaware bay and urban hardscape and buildings.

Working out then I will take care of the walk and deck with the snow.

Already talked to State Farm about our claim, other parties insurance.

Squeaky wheel gets the grease
