Things Change.. Butters is now getting a 392

I seem to be several characters and sometimes even words ahead of my fingers when I type. And most of the time I get letters out of order because I think my right hand is ahead of my left, or vice versa. So I completely understand. I have to read my posts and emails several times before I...

Things Change.. Butters is now getting a 392

Sorry you are having the glitches, but I am sure you will work them out and then you can make vulgar displays of power at will. Any ideas on the trans issues?

Things Change.. Butters is now getting a 392

The OEM fan fuses are a 40 amp and 50 amp based on the diagram I have, so I would be surprised if they only pull 8 amps. Can't remember an OEM fan that pulls so little. I bet the OEM wiring is 10 gage or bigger, too. There is a 10 amp fuse for the control side of the relays, maybe that is...

Things Change.. Butters is now getting a 392

I am sure the PCM is controlling the fuel pump relay. It does in the OEM setup, no idea why (or how) Sublime would do it any different.

MegaSquirt (MS3) or Holley HP EFI

Lot's of comments on the MS3 stuff if you search. Here are a couple of threads, might search on their screen names and see what else they have said. MS3 Pro Sequential Injection + Coil near plug conversion thread Anyone else using MegaSquirt on a LA motor? LA sequential fuel and spark EFI...

    18" Wheel help

I found an 18x9 +35mm wheel that I think will work. I can run a 275/35R18 on it, even though a 9.5 would be better. It was an open box deal at American Muscle so I bought it and then a second one so I have a set. The nice thing about the design of the wheel is the face is further out and I...

Chrysler 300 seats in a Duster

I did some layout work years ago when I was trying to figure out how to setup my garage and was stunned to find the a '74 Duster without bumper guards was almost the exact same width and length as a 2015 Challenger. Certainly there are differences, and the Challenger is some 5-600# heavier, but...

    18" Wheel help

Interesting. I've always planned to go with a square setup but things keep pushing me in the direction of a staggered setup and this adds a twist I hadn't thought about before. Thanks.

Found my dads original 1971 duster!

As I recall, the later cop car Diplomats or something had an adapter, but the angle of the filter was different. Seems like they wouldn't work, but maybe it was just that had to be rotated different. I've never installed one, so not saying I am right. Just seems like I have heard something...

So how does it drive? Did I miss the post on that?

Found my dads original 1971 duster!

I wonder if the 90 degree adapter needs to be removed to get it orientated correctly and it can't just be rotated. There is a different adapter that doesn't fit (as I recall), but I think it is aluminum. If yours is iron, it should be correct.

    18" Wheel help

I completely agree that sometimes you have to find ways to make things work. And sometimes we get tunnel vision and forget to look for other solutions. So wise words. But in this case, I think that is an extreme solution. As I understand it, the OP doesn't want to run custom brakes (required...

    18" Wheel help

Found a post from the original builder and he said they are Niche wheels, but I don't find anything that matches in their catalog. Anyone tried these wheels?

    18" Wheel help

The wheels on the early A-Body look like American Muscle AMR's. Here is an 18x8 w/ 5.7" BS Mustang AMR Charcoal Wheel; 18x8 (05-09 Mustang) - Free Shipping They also have 18x9 and 18x10, but you aren't going to get them to work with a stock width A-Body 8.75. I think you could step up to a...

Found my dads original 1971 duster!

If anything, 50 years ago or so I would expect someone would have been removing the booster, not adding it. The OP's Dad doesn't strike me as someone that did more than drive it, so it would have had to have been prior to that. At the same time, no idea why it wouldn't have been on the fender...
