    360 Oil Filters?

I used to run Fram filters years ago but the last 10/15 years I had problems with them. I use a Mopar Filter wherever it fits. I get them at Walmart.

    Spark Plug Question

The resistor plugs made no difference in our testing. In our MSD 6 Street/Strip cars we run .040 with a plug with that ground strap. We did not find any power in those car from a wider gap and I believe it puts more strain on the rest of the ignition system. \My .02 = For Free

Pictures from Last Weeks National Open plus a couple others

We took it back to US Nationals (Indy) and beat all the Mustang GT 302s/Z28 Camaros/400 Pontiacs to win N/SA class. Jon also got to the Semifinals a got beat by some guy named Biondo in eliminations. We really enjoyed meeting a lot of people we had only talked to before. It was also rewarding...

pushrod and adj rocker arm questions

Does the adjuster not have a recessed area on it to align with the oil hole on the rocker on your adjusters? In the old days, Mopar Performance recommend .250 to .280 protruding from the bottom of the rocker. 60+ Years ago, I thought it was really not important and I burned up the Valvetrain...

67 Valiant built 360 LA header options

The best Dyno HP for a production header was hands down the 13/4 5204 Hooker. Do they hang lower yes somewhat but we run them on 360 68 Valiant that runs on the street and still runs 10s when required. There have been several postings on it in racers section. I always have a few sets of these...

Need opinions on this Demon for $25k

I have had a show winning 71 Hemi Cuda and a 1 of 2 (Per Galen's Report) 71 Challenger 340 4 Spd. Formal Hardtop 20,000 immaculate survivor. I would never take either one out of the shop and uncover it, except for a show or when I sold them. Sold the Challenger to a Major Collector in Phoenix...

    Lunati cams being phased out?

I would not trust ANYONE if they were offering $2 dollar blowjobs! As John Arbuckle ( 60's Coffee Merchant on TV ads) said, You get what you pay for.

Need opinions on this Demon for $25k

Ya know, It probable did not make any difference to most buyers, but there was $16,000 plus in the engine and transmission in the Duster (Not count any labor) and it was very streetable and ran 11s at our altitude and heat the way my boy's Father in Law drove it on Weekends.

    Lunati cams being phased out?

My solution to the camshaft disaster the last few years is to buy and accumulate all the good CWC old school cores that have a generous amount of extra meat left on the lobe an no damage. I then can get them reground to whatever profile I want by a company such as Clay Smith or Oregon. Every...

    Lunati cams being phased out?

George who has owned the shop since I wore short pants, is well up in his 80's and his son in law Chad has had a transplant and not a young guy either. They have plenty of work. Back in the 60's/70's, George built some of the fastest Max Wedge Cars in the country (Including helping with my 64...

Need opinions on this Demon for $25k

Respectfully, i suggest that forum guys take a look at both vehicles and decide for themselves the work quality and detail of the cars. Neither one is a 340 H code car, let alone matching number restoration high dollar piece. Our car was only an original 318 G and no 340 but only one repaint...

66-67 273 Cylinder Head Part Number and Identification?

There is only 3 CCs difference between the two part number heads and sometimes different castings CC a couple CC different than another pair the same number. In our testing at low 300 to 400 lift the 675 flowed better. Plus, I prefer the open chamber heads myself as they seem to have less...

66-67 273 Cylinder Head Part Number and Identification?

I believe any of the 66 to 69 year heads will perfectly fit the exhaust manifold. The mid 70s to 80s would need the thicker exhaust gasket.
