  • Jumping in! On the FABO Engine Challenge. So far, I think it'll be a .... 360 plain and simple.
    I'll start with this wreck!

Rumblefish360, did you leave the conversation on your own, if so why?
    rumblefish360
    rumblefish360
I did. I left the conversation because it was extremely off the original topic. If you want to talk and discuss the engine build, that’s great. I’m not interested in talking about opinions and feelings on multiple other peoples threads.
If I can use a particular set of exhaust manifolds instead of headers that's okay, 302 or magnum heads instead of aluminum heads. Only thing with magnum heads is the limited intake manifold available, is this true?
    rumblefish360
    rumblefish360
    Yes it is true in the limited intake manifold selection for Magnum heads. There is;
MoPars dual plane & single plane M1 that’s out of production. Isn’t offers two intake that are more race style. A single plane and the MOD MAN.
The Edelbrock RPM and the chink knock off are what is easily available now.
PM me instead of writing here.
What I'm honestly looking for is to improve both throttle response and low to midrange torque. I'm on a fixed income, so I have to get the most out of the parts that I do buy. I don't mind using a stall converter and different gears to help me reach my goal. It's just going to be a fun cruiser.
I have a question about lsa and overlap. I read that a tighter lsa is good for torque but when doing so raises the overlap and that supposedly hurts torque and throttle response. Since the car is a semi daily driver with a max rpm range of about 5k, what would be a good lsa and overlap

    rumblefish360
Depends on a number of factors. As you know, most cam companies cut there cam on a 110 LSA. This is generally a good compromise. The amount of overlap is not only related to your he LSA, but also duration. So, I’ll can not recommend an LSA or an amount of overlap without knowing a ton of more information.

Hit me up in a PM.
I'm going to stick around. I'm trying to stay in one direction, I think that I'm to overly concerned that I'll wind up with a combination that's not right. With the high dollar headers I didn't mean to say that they wasn't worth the money, they out of my budget. Thanks for letting me come directly to you with my questions and I'll try not to be a pain in the butt. I see you live in Florida so does my sister.
What am I doing wrong here? Seems like every time I ask a question some of the guys get defensive about it. Honestly, I'm trying to learn different things and I have learned a lot already. Is it that they don't want me on the forum?

rumblefish360, I want to say that I'm sorry for being a jerk. If I ever have a question about a build can I ask you, if not I totally understand.
    rumblefish360
    rumblefish360
No worries Dan. I don’t think your a jerk.
Start a conversation with me and we’ll chat away!

I'm going to be looking at a 1969 dart in the next few days. I'll let you know what I find
    Rob,

Please let me know your complete address. The USPS would not accept your address with the "1703 Grant Valkaria" I need a street name. Thanks, Jeremy
Hi Rob. I was hoping you could answer a few questions for me. I’m thinking about a torqstorm supercharger.
    rumblefish360
    rumblefish360
Me too! There easy on the price tag, come complete and ready to bolt on and go provided the rest of your set up is ready, IE; FI or blow through carb, electric fuel pump and boost regulated, etc...
While the unit isn’t capable of super serious pressures, you really don’t need a lot to go far and long for HP.

Ask away, PM me if you like.
I see you had a post awhile back about an ultradyne cam you bought. nf63nf64. How did that cam work out for you?
    rumblefish360
    rumblefish360
I have not yet used it. It is slated for a stroker small block/W5. It may be a while, sorry.

    rumblefish360
Oh cool! Do you have a thread going on about the 511?

This vehicle has made my short list for my daily driver I have had a truck for the last 10 years and want something different could you give me a overall opinion of the vehicle? Thanks for the help. I love my R/T Durango. There’s a character limit to the post so I’ll have my hubby send you a pm.

    Freakin cool man.
Sure! Shoot me a PM and I’ll give it a shot.
Rob, PM box is full! Wondering if deleted PM's can be restored. Had Brian and/or Philip Shaefer buy a wiring harness in May. Now I got a notification from PayPal that he didn't authorize the transaction. I sent them the product and shipping info (Massapequa, NY), but am trying to find any other communications in case I need more evidence. I think it was either from here or moparts. Emails with pics are long gone.
Rob, Please help me you have in the past because yo are an electronic guru. Howard Carr 724-359-8300 Thanks Howard
