It's a Offenhauser tunnel ram, not a blower. As far as detonation goes, my motor is 10.75 to 1 compression and I run 100LL AV-Gas.

Screw all that push me pull you Rube Goldberg factory kickdown linkage crap and put a Lokar or equivalent cable set up on it. Easy to install and adjust, way simpler and works perfect.

Food for thought, I just got rebuilding a 69 GTS Dart for a customer. Originally it had a 383 and a 4 speed but he changed it to a 440 in the late 70's. Anyway when I got the car finished and started to test drive it it had a horrendous clutch chatter. It chattered so bad it was hardly driveable...

Yep! I have a set on my 470 stroker. I changed the springs to what Comp Cam suggested, added 10 degree locks and retainers and used better valve seals. Other than that they are just as they were out of the box and work great. Get ya some!
