67 barracuda hood to radiator seal

I am restoring a 67 barracuda. Bought a new hood seal for the front of the hood from Classic Industries. Installed easy, but not the hood doesn't shut. Seems the rubber is too thick. Has anyone had this problem and, if so, how did you solve it?

Same situation here... Rubber is stiff.

When dad n I bought the 67 it had hood seal already installed. That was 5 years ago....still gotta slam the damn thing.

Can't get the hood to close anywhere near enough to even think about latch adjustment. It stops about 1/2" above the header panel.

Even though I can close the hood, it does not line up very well now. I will be taking that rubber off.. The part is not good.

Check the hood rubbers that are mounted on inner fenders. May need tweaking
