    Advice on potential gear swap

What's your cylinder pressure? To pull 2.94s off the line, yur gonna need a lotta pressure. I have a similar cam in my 360 and it likes a minimum of 180psi for bottom-end torque and a starter gear of 10>11:1. IDK what a 4.20 ratio Second gear is except maybe a typo, but no matter, IMO 2.94s...

A-body armrest - stripped threads in door’s sheet metal

Straight foward fix if you are good with a Mig welder or have a friend who is. 1, Cut a slot with a mini grinder or even a Dremel tool just above the hole. 2. Put a large blade screwdriver in the slot you made with the grinder and spread the gap of the slot it until the hole starts to close...

Your considered opinion on heads please

Thank you to all of you who have responded. The Speedmasters seem to be the overwhelming choice albeit a small sample size. I will also take @rumblefish360's advice and investigate bowl porting. I know I will be back with more questions and look forward to tapping into the considerable...

Your considered opinion on heads please

I appreciate the spring recommendation. Are we ok with the 10* Speedmaster spring retainers & valve locks or should we bulletproof it with corresponding Comp parts?

Are Speedmaster Heads Good? I've Heard a Lot of Bad Press on Edelbrock 340 Heads Lately

Well, I found my “769” W2 race head flow sheet but I can’t quickly find the ported sheet. It went 324cfm with a 2.08 valve. I don’t remember the valve stem size though. I know I should! This particular head was the latest and last head with MP revisions.

Dan do you really even care about performance ? Are you gonna be bombing around town burning rubber at every other light, dropping gear and hammer it every time you think you can get away with ? Or just cruise around at or below speed limit and the odd time squawk the tires when you leave a light ?

Rewiring my EFI Magnum - 1970 Dart Swinger

I adjusted the brake light switch so I could put a few miles on the car before totally wrapping all the wires. Just want to make sure it's going to be reliable before I make everything permanent. So, uh, yeah... What do ya'll think, a little too tight? This happened on Friday...

I Chose the 383 Big Block

My vote is to remove the piston & check the piston rings, piston skirt and cylinder wall on the right side where all the corrosion is located. I think you'll find there is a reason for the rings to be grabbing. I can't tell from the picture, but it appears the same corrosion is in the water...

    Another 318 set up

...is Nothing you can do to your engine (normally Aspirated) that can get you plus 71% more take off power than gears and stall. That cam (say a 262* advertised), with no other changes, is likely to DROP your cylinder pressure to 120 from 140, making take-off extremely mushy. That will end up...

    Are you a narcissist?

Or to use for ones personal information to be used as an aid to win that argument by making them give up. I don’t generally label people, but I do recognize personality traits pretty quickly.

318 with Edelbrok perfomer intake and 600 cfm 4 barrel, what headers please?

No. There isn’t a decent V8 I can think of that would want a 1.5 inch tube. You need to drag your *** to a dragstrip and see how many cars have 1 1/2 inch headers on them. The answer is NONE. And disabuse yourself of the notion that a street car would want something different.
