what about servicing the oil pump relief valve? i see most of you guys always mention that the engine is about to die... from what slantsixdean told me servicing the relieve valve is part of basic maintenance that always is and has been overlooked and if its not functioning properly more...

my u-pull it locations here in NJ and PA charge $25-$30 depending on which yard you go to and contrary to popular belief the slants still show up from time to time, probably more often but i only go about every 2-3 months. long story short, i just pulled a clean complete unit with brand new...

i dont know about the rest of you guys but i personally have heard 2 small block fuel pumps and a broken flex plate make a bottom end knock also. so with out further diagnostic on the OPs part it really is hard to take a guess.

i actually e-mailed the people that make patriot headers about this last week, i just dont think anyone that is normally aspirated can expect a real HP increase with a shorty.

would these plugs work for the later models? also since the 75 up doesnt have the spark plug tube would i be correct in assuming that you would leave the compression ring on the plug for proper seal?

stuck e-brake but i would think you could have smelled that, clogged/collapsed exhaust, jumped time.....
