It may just be me... but looking at the overlay of the 2 gaskets in the diagram supplied by Abodyjoe... it looks like the Magnum heads would make for a better sealing flange, no mater what headers were used. Mainly because of the Magnums having "more meat" between the inboard ports.

If you want to evacuate air from under the hood and don't want to be obvious about it... why not cut out the sheet metal like everyone does to install big block headers in an A-body? The air would just run through the engine compartment and out through those holes... and exit under the car...

Yes... there were a bunch of slant six Challengers and Barracudas. But I have a feeling that those are pictures of an R/T... that would explain why there are no under hood pictures. Besides that, why would he have the car painted and marked as an R/T if it isn't an R/T? Anyone pulling up...

I don't think that the actual firewalls are different... they are just cut different to fit either the A/C heater box, or the non A/C heater box. But I could be wrong... which has happened to me... usually when I am right in the middle of whatever it is that I am working on at the moment!

The non A/C in my Demon just blows out of the defroster and onto the floor... the cars did not come with "vents". If you still want to do this, let me know.

Now all I have to do is get the 72 Dart out of my driveway, and into someone elses! Shouldn't be too hard to do since there have been two instances where people have left notes on the car asking me to call them if the car was up for sale... getting it gone will please the wife!

Thanks Dartcuda1... I am thinking that doing the parts swap with tyler S18 may be the logical way to go. That way we both get what we are looking for to make our cars the way that we want them... and doing it for the cost of shipping is good too!

I have a 71 Demon that is a factory non A/C car. I also have a 72 Dart that has factory A/C. How difficult would it be to swap everything out so the Demon has A/C, and the Dart will not have A/C? Momma says that the 72 Dart must go... but I would like to get some good items from it before...

I have to second what Orv says. I have an 833OD from a 75 Dart Sport, my OD ratio is .73 Running a 4.10 rear gear makes my car very quick off the line... and when you go into OD it is just a shade under a 3.00 gear ratio... decent for freeway cruising. Besides that... turning a ratio...

Does it matter what year it is from? Does it matter if it is an LA engine, or a Magnum? There a alot of them in the pick-n-pull yards... at least around here there are! Lots of pick ups and vans with them under the hood.
