Pull the bulkhead connector apart again cleaned it up really well,Replace the starter relay and the neutral safety switch in the transmission guess that short knocked out quite a bit.I still think the fusible link was part of the issue...

    I did find a fusible link it does appear it has 13 V on the red wire where the wire goes into the bulkhead there is no power. Can I buy a fusible link or do I eliminate it ?

    What would be the next best mopar shifter. I have a manual valve body 727 and bought a pro mattic but the detents are not the same and I and the trans shop could not get it adjusted right.

    Update; I checked plugs and it was a little lean but not bad. Replaced everything from the line from the tank on. Replaced mech fuel pump with a edelbrock 110 gph pump, removed pressure gauge and regulator and plumed from pump to carb with 3/8" line. Seems to be much better sound at road...
