I know pinion gears are matched to the ring gear but has anyone ever used a different ring gear without changing the pinion?, and if so how'd that go? The reason I'm asking is, I picked up a clutch type sure grip yesday and a ring gear was still attached and it just so happens I have a pumpkin...

Holeshot in the dark! Put a 727 and an 8 3/4 in my 65 Dart GT and now need 50 3/4 inch yoke center to center driveshaft. Prefer at least a 3 inch. Thanks
