It's harder to find someone that will do this than you might think, and I want it done right. Thanks for...

A little help with my future engine swap

I have a 74 Duster with a Slant six. I did the Clifford set-up which was ok but my engine needs a rebuild/refresh. Instead of a rebuild, I like the idea of putting in a 318. I have a leftover automatic transmission from my 72 Dodge Demon (original). I know that the slant six transmission has to...

    Fiberglass hoods, are they safe?

I'm "thinking" of using a fibergass part or two for my restoration (74 Duster). My old deck lid has problems so I think it might be ok to use a fiberglass deck lid but if I were to get a fiberglass hood, how exactly will this effect safety? Fiberlass bumpers too, what do you guys know about...

New sending unit and fuel gauge is off

I had my mechanic install (the second) fuel tank sending unit and my gas gauge works as such: Reads full for about 30 miles and then drops rapitly to 1/4 tank after about 70 miles of highway driving. When I fill at the 1/4 tank reading, the car still has 12 gallons of gas. Has anyone ever...

    V6 Fi Vs 318

I have a 74 duster 225 slant six. I put on headers and a 4brl intake and 390 cfm carb. I can only achieve 17 mpg at best driving the car 55 on a flat road. Would I be better off, money wise and mileage wise, trading up to a 318 or turning my slant six into fuel injection? Thanks!!!Tom
