    cam/TC/rear gear/tire size combos

Yeah I am having my spring relocation kit put in this weekend and next week I will start experimenting with tires. I want to run the biggest tire possible without a tub. Any of you guys know that size for a 70 dart?

    cam/TC/rear gear/tire size combos

Sorry if this isn't in the right spot. I just got my 440 put together and am tossing around what combination I want to run. I have a 440/727 284/.528 MP purple shaft with a stock 11" torque converter at the moment. I currently have 3.23 open gears in my 8 3/4 and am about to redo everything...

Yep. Stock converter in my 440 with a 284 .528 cam. Idle set at 1400 RPM in park and it is at roughly 500 in drive. I am buying a 2800 stall this week.

Installing a spool or suregrip in an 8 3/4?

I would like to go with a good streetable locker. However, I am on a budget and would love to keep from buying a new case. I already have a good case and gears. Is there a tech write up on detailed instructions?

Installing a spool or suregrip in an 8 3/4?

I just acquired an 8 3/4 for my dart that has 3.23 gears OPEN. I am torn between a spool or attempting a suregrip setup. Anyone have any info on installing either one of these? I would like to do this myself. Thanks

    Kickdown and shift linkage questions/pics

Looking to install a B&M shifter into my car this weekend. Now to do so, I will need a few things to reference off of. Where exactly did you guys mount the shifter at on the transmission tunnel? Also, how did you route the shift cable from the shifter to the shift linkage on the transmission...

    Ford 8.8 Swap

LOL ^ Well said 70440. Nailed it on the head! 8.8 is the way to go for people who don't have a whole lot of money to have a good gear ratio put in along with a locker.

Ford 8.8 Caliper to Caliper - $140 already equipped with 3.55/3.73/4.10 LSD. $100 to shorten the passenger side to the same length as the drivers side. $45 for a brand new shaft. $15 for the U-joint conversion. Weld perches yourself. Boom, rollin with $300. Seen it done, and I am in the process...

    Ford 8.8 Swap

It's not a passion, it's called personal preference.. It's people that want to keep their car original. I personally would rather spend less than $800 on a LSD with 4.11 or 3.73 gears than to spend 2k+ on an A-body 8 3/4 with the same GR and suregrip. NOW with that said, if I was going all...
