Left side of block tells what year and top right front will say what size motor as well. Heads have casting numbers also between rocker shafts, last three digits will say what type of heads they are. Either 906 516 915 452. Mark

I found out why the P/S lines were in the way. Besides being tired, they were bent upwards is all. The 340 stuff I had is all gone, someone told me to use a 360 oil filter mount set up. No luck finding that around here. I did get some 318 heads today rebuilt and factory manifolds. Comp. is...

My car is a '73 Scamp w/a '72 Demon front clip including K member. Small block is coming back out for newly bought 383 big block. Anybody know which oil pan is needed for swap? I heard pan #187, if thats true, then I'm covered, I scored one of those as well, if not, please help. Thanks...

Thanks for the info. guys. I'm more less wanting to save my 340 and use the 360 for now. The 340 I have is a virgin block and so is the 360. The 340 is worth more as it sits vs. the 360 of course. I have another 340 that is already stroked to a 388. I'll keep posted on what Eng. Shop tells me...
