Break in time for new engine

I just finished installing a 408 stroker in my Cuda. I'm using Royal Purple Break-in Oil. The car will be mostly street/strip use. How long do you all think on break in time? Should I baby it for about 500 miles? Or should I just run it now like I plan to in the future? It's already been on a...

360 virgin need balance question answer?

That's exactly what I'm planning. Rebuild the 273 to commando specs and a slight juiced up rebuild on the trans. Winter project. As for the 408 I've got a TCI trans on order that should handle it.

360 virgin need balance question answer?

Hey guys thanks for all the info. I talked to the manufacturer and they said it's externally. So all I need to do is get a weighted 360 ci pre magnum flexplate and I should be good to go. Thanks again!

360 virgin need balance question answer?

I've got a '65 Barracuda with a 273 automatic in it. Unfortunately a rod started knocking last week. So I've decided to go with a 408 stroker crate motor for now and rebuild the 273 this winter. Question is I know the 273 is internally balanced and the 360 is externally balanced. Is there...

    Sputtering 318! Please help

Was your car out of sight at the river? What are the possibilities that someone poured something in your gas tank. Just saying some people get jealous of nice classic cars and do stupid things.
