leaf spring center bolt height Q

this housing has a hole the exact dia of the 3/8 bolt & the height of the bolt matches the thickness of the pads (both even). not sure how the holes in these shims I have got rounded out (came from an old stash) but maybe the ubolts will have enough clamping to keep the shims in place???

leaf spring center bolt height Q

these shims are old/worn with the holes oblong that came from an old stash & you got me thinking that I should just get good ones with the lip. where should I go to purchase em?

leaf spring center bolt height Q

8&3/4 leaf springs/race app. right now the top nub of the center bolt sticks up maybe 3/8", just enough to engage the perch(s). If I add tapered shims to correct pinion angle the nub would engage the shim but not high enough to engage the perch. will the ubolts have enough clamping to hold it...

    "gripper pattern" u bolt question

for an 8&3/4. I have a set of ubolts from Mancini that have the flattened side on the inside of the radius but they were not long enough. I just ordered a set of longer ones but they do not have this flattened area, mancini calls it a gripper pattern & said that these will not present a problem...

    what ubolts should I purchase?

for an 8&3/4. the 7 inchers I bought that are in there now have the smoothed radius in the curve which I thought was a plus but are a bit too short & will not let me use Mrrandyj's tie down plate(s) and does anybody know how to contact him?. thank you for your time. RR

the round nub at the top of the leaf spring center bolt is just tall enough to fit the thickness of the perch. If I add a shim the perch will not be engaged. How do I get around this? thank you for your time. RR

In addition I would have the wheels straight ahead/steering wheel in the middle of its travel & turn the wheel lightly back & forth to see how much play is in the box itself. 2 easy adjustments on the box but you might need a special tool to undo the big round lock ring on the rear face of the...
