He's not the original owner, but he says he has a pic of the car "new" with it's original owner. The "dealer add on" sounds right to me.

Neither have I. The owner insists it is original.

This one had the roof painted gold on a white car. The gold paint was down the rear pillar to fender top level with a trim strip and "sports roof" script. The lower quarter of the sides of the car were gold also, with another "beltline" trim strip dividing the colors. There was also a trim strip...

I ran into a guy at a local car show that has a 64 barracuda "sports roof". Any info on this being a production car?

I went with 73-up calipers, spindles, and uca's with 11 3/4" cordoba rotors and an explorer 8.8 with discs on the rear. Because I'm a cheep ***.

Valve stem seal, positive type, sealed power ST2001

Alot of em will give a puff of smoke on startup when the valve stem seals are bad. I like the sealed power type seals if your heads are machined to accept them. Had problems with the O-ring type that come in a gasket sets.

If it's still the O.E. ball and trunion type shaft, the front joint will have a rubber boot on it.

Stick your hand down in the bottom of the trunk drop off and feel how big the wad of bondo is.

You can pull the cable off and lube the lower 1/3 of the core. I've never heard of a way to lube the speedo itself.

I have a set of spitfires I'm gonna run on my car. I was asking more for other early A owners. I saw the Dakota headers on ebay and wondered if they could be modded to fit. You got a good deal on your headers with the discount, but i have seen either dougs or TTIs for over $800 + shipping.
