Find a 73+ disc brake car wrecked or in a salvage yard. I went that road and converted to disc and LBP with a) new moog parts for just under $1100 including reconditioned rally wheels and new tires.
Buy a usex running slant. They're listed all the time for under 200 bucks. Drop it in and save your money. To do the 440 swap 'right' is gonna cost some cash. Wait until you can afford to do a quality swap and not need to worry about mpg. Just my 2 cents..
I did a version of that on an International engine. Balancer in the oven to 200°, ice on the crank snout. Slid right on. Hate banging 'em with a hammer.
