Well unfortunately, things like this happen. The much desired Dana 60 gets the same fate, in trucks. Rears that could have been modified to fit anything else are just fodder for the machine.

The 360 is externally balanced vs. all the other smallblock engines being internally balanced. You need to have the converter with the balance weight on it.

Did you have a driveshaft made? If so, the u joints might not be lined up right...out of phase. If it is wrong, it should be cut and re-welded correctly. Also check the rear joint to see if it is bolted in correctly, with the caps spaced right on the yoke. You can balance the shaft by trial...

The 1st number 6F(OR P)117900 is the last 8 numbers of the VIN. PP833 is an 833 manual trans, the last 4 numbers are the Julian Date of production...charts are out there somewhere if you really want the date. 2nd trans, you may actually want the Julian Date so that you can see what year it was...
