    Tig weld vs J-B Weld...LOL

If you have a MIG machine there's a spool gun you can buy for welding aluminum. Or just pay a shop to TIG it on. I wouldn't risk JB failing with that kind of job.

    Welding Cart

I got the Q size (80 cu ft) for my 110v MIG, big enough to last awhile and not upset the cart. For my 220v TIG I got the T size (330 cu ft) since the machine is on a bench and I don't move it around.

Blew 200 bucks, and "yes" it was Horrid Freight

So many new mechanics fall for that credit scam on overpriced tools and boxes. A friend of mine bought one of those special edition Mopar boxes, and while it was a nice box and had a cool paint job, he was paying on it and a crapload of new tools for several years and couldn't afford to do...

Blew 200 bucks, and "yes" it was Horrid Freight

I have a couple HF boxes. If the big name tool brands want to compete, they need to make a decent entry level box for a reasonable price.

Body Moving Wheels/Dollies-What are you using?

Made my own - 2 straight casters for rear and 2 swivel for front, buy tubing and weld 'er up.

    Recommend Jack Stands

Invest in some good quality strong stands, you'll use them for many years. I like the ones linked here Axle stands · ABS5 / ABS12 · AC Hydraulic A/S I have a similar set, very happy with them and trust them 110%

    Mig Welder

If they didn't give you the manual for it, here's the PDF: https://www.lincolnelectric.com/assets/ServiceNavigator-public/LINCOLN3/im725.pdf As far as flow to start with...I have a Miller 141, and mine is typically on 20 CFH for thicker stuff and 15 for sheetmetal. You could try those settings...

8-3/4 fixture, for your engine stand!

Great design, I think I'll make one.

    Engine hoist.

Make sure it's a folding hoist, takes less than half the floor space when not in use.

Built in work benches, what have you done?

I'm working on a custom setup with pallet racking. Got the idea from this guy: Here's part 2 where he adds the steel work surfaces

Body carts. Have you built one?

I made a wooden one to temporarily hold a body shell I'm working on - was 4x4 uprights and 2x4 supports and spans. It can be unbolted and the legs can be stacked inside a plastic tote when not in use. I can also make different length spans for a longer/wider car if need be.

    Tig torch...

Definitely foot control. Leave the hands for laying a nice bead and maneuvering the workpiece and torch around.

Craftsman Tools "proudly made in china"

Not to my satisfaction, hence my reply. The technology and communication won't change the situation if there's an uprising. And I don't think any western country will want step into the middle of a Chinese civil war. Getting ready to go to work, don't have time for a long reply at this...

Craftsman Tools "proudly made in china"

You're forgetting that their prosperity is primarily based on providing the world with cheap labor. If that ends due to some kind of revolution/uprising/major cultural change, then IMO they won't get a chance to "create a relatively wealthy middle class"...my guess is they would either fracture...

Craftsman Tools "proudly made in china"

China is close to imploding...won't be long before the "free ride" the world has enjoyed with the near slave labor from them will end. What will China become? who knows?
