Order of assembly? From a bare shell

Install all under body fasteners and mask them. Sucks scraping paint out of threaded holes.

    67 HURST Notch

Looks great...who cares if Hurst never made a notch version.

I have no Idea where to start

Keep it running and driving as much as you can...like was mentioned before if it's torn down it's a huge de-motivator. I would start with just sorting out the drive train that's in it, and go through and make the car safe. Make sure it runs, drives, stops, steers, cools, charges, lights work...

    71 hemi orange swinger rescue.

Nicely optioned car to start with. Keep that rim blow steering wheel, getting expensive nowadays.

    Wow that's gonna be sharp.

    68 Barracuda 225 to 440 to 426

Yeah I hope they realize there's still a market for them. Their big mistake was going so heavy into the billetronic Boyd type wheels, that died off quick.

    68 Barracuda 225 to 440 to 426

I have a set of nice Super Tricks that I bought years ago, but I don't want to cruise with them. I'll swap to the Auto Drags and street tires when I'm street driving.

    68 Barracuda 225 to 440 to 426

I had the same wheel/tire setup, looking for some more Auto Drags for my '67 hardtop, except this time 10" rears.

    Frnknsteen's '67 Barracuda

'72 400 has a chance to be a 230 casting - and if its casting date is pre 10/10/71 it's a winter block and has the thickest main webbing of any big block Chrysler. You definitely want to check it out and if it's buildable go ahead and buy it as any 400 is good in my book. It has a chance to be...

    Frnknsteen's '67 Barracuda

No problem...and my Barracuda is also a '67 coupe - sitting for now as I'm focusing on my Valiant build.

    Frnknsteen's '67 Barracuda

1977 400 + 4 speed...did the 400 receive a steel crank, or was there a lobbed off input shaft and adapter pilot bearing? I went through that nightmare with a '73 Charger Rallye 400 4 speed years ago, previous owner had swapped a cast crank 400 in, chopped the input shaft of the transmission...

    67 Hemi Notch build

Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to watching the progress. I've also got a '67 coupe, someday planning to build it similar to what your dad did - Super Tricks and all.

    68 Valiant Signet, 2D, A/C car, build

Make sure you get an engine brush kit and really scrub out all the oil galleys with hot soapy water, then blow out. Tons of crud can get stuck in there and an exterior wash won't get it.

    70 Duster H Code, 440 4 Speed Build

I like the vinyl top on Dusters, hope you keep it. Should be a fun car when done.

Started My 70 440/727 Dart Swinger " The Black Widow'

Sounds good. Resist the urge to mini tub it...some 9 x 28 slicks will hook with a mild 440. Get long shocks, a solid front bushing, extra clamps for front spring segments, and remove rear clamps. No snubber.

    72' Twister Race Car

I agree, make sure it's square before you design and build anything new. Would suck to spend time and money on all that, then find out it's twisted or bent.

    72' Twister Race Car

Relax man, didn't mean it as an insult. I've had to redo shoddy chassis work on a couple different cars, so for that reason I'm a little outspoken on the subject. Can't see enough detail of the back half to comment on that, but that cage looks "interesting". Glad you're planning to change out...

That cage and chassis needs to be redone IMO. I hope you got it super cheap.

Nice work I love the color. If you're looking for ideas for striping I suggest modifying the '71 Duster 340 treatment to fit: Or this:

What color will sell easier? 73 Sport

X2 The more you document what the body looked like before primer and paint, the better.
