I have had the 5" and don't think it would look right in this car. Looking for ideas of small tachs on column or dash. Maybe something around 2.5 - 3" not to block the view of the road.
Cam installed, found TDC of the piston and set degree wheel at 0.
Installed lifter on #1 intake lobe, went .050 on borh of the max lift and record degree on the wheel. Cam set at 2 degrees advanced, which is at 106.
All cleaned up and ready to install the new parts starting tonight.
I ordered a new timing chain with the degreed key ways, as I'm advancing the cam 2 degrees.
The plan is to also install Indy T/A heads, with the modman six pack I've been waiting to get back from the polisher. I continue to post pic's of my progress.
How much H.P. can I expect to lose going for a 3" t0 2.5" exhaust system? I am really thinking of going to a 2.5" system in order to move the system under the car between the frame rails and out to the rear axle to quite it down. I don't know what to do running fenderwell headers and 3"...

So true, I am keeping my original seats and one day I will restore them. Right now the best price I could come up with doing both front and back was close to $1000, that why I went with Kirkey's
