I wire brushed with an angle grinder getting them as clean as possible then silver coated por15. Front sides looked like brand new and the backs came out great.

I bought the NAPA quick rear view mirror kit. Came wityh an alcohol wipe and the glue.....was about 3 bucks I think.

My '67 has the 68/69 style rear glass gasket trim that I'm sure it came with. I converted the windshield to this as well. It was pretty easy if you're already torn down in there anyway.

"I have painted over POR by spraying it with primer while it's still tacky" You can paint directly over POR15....don't let it cure...apply while very tacky but not wet... works and looks great but like anything....surface prep is everything.

I've seen a 6 pack scoop on a lump hood. It's very busy. Thought it looked like there was too much going on. Not for me either.

Hi desmo. I have a '67 GT original vinyl top car. No lockstrips on the rear window. Uses the clip method. I did convert the the windshield to '68/'69 clip, eliminating the lockstrips altogether. Looks much better and no difficulty in finding parts. The lockstrips can be a pain to find. Can't say...

Hey Larry...would def not go white with the dark green top and paint. I believe a gloss black would work pretty well and not be over stating. Pretty classy imho. Argent would be my second choice just because it's a heck of a contrast to such a dark body color. It's a beautiful car and your paint...
