The sellability of our early “A” body cars

Here is another site that you can consider, I used it a few years back when I sold a 67 Coronet 440 that I owned. Carsonline.com but with this site you pay an up-front fee before your listing even gets published. I also use this site sometimes just to see what price range certain cars are going for.

The sellability of our early “A” body cars

I put my 66 Barracuda up for sale a couple of years ago just by running adds on Craigslist and my local marketplace area. I received a big audience of people who wanted to come out and look at it and ask all the questions and I felt like all they wanted to do was take it for a ride and then I...

    66 Formula S Emblems

I took as good of a look as I can at my NOS emblems and I see no pitting in the S at all, the original ones that I removed from my 68 are pitted. If you look at the pictures you will see the difference in the NOS and the re-pop's as far a shininess on the front and back sides. This could be...

    66 Formula S Emblems

Even the other numbers and letters are on the re-pop's just not as defined as the NOS ones, and Steve there is no Pentastar logo's on any of them even the old original Formula S emblems that I took off of my 68 do not have Pentastar logo's on them. Also I moved the NOS ones around in the bags to...

    66 Formula S Emblems

I can take some pictures tomorrow. But remember they will be taken through the plastic bag, I have no intensions of opening the bags at least not yet.

    66 Formula S Emblems

The pins are vertical and they are round and yes 443's and Steve I do not see a pentastar logo anywhere on them. One other thing I noticed while looking for the pentastar logo is that the numbers and letters on the back of the NOS ones are a lot more defined than the re-pop's and the back of the...

    66 Formula S Emblems

I have a set of NOS (still in the un-opened plastic Mopar bag's) FORMULA S emblems and also a new set of the re-pop FORMULA S emblems. The only thing that I can tell differently about the two is that the S on the NOS ones has a brushed look to them and the S on the re-pops almost looks like...

I wish we had more info on how to add the bluster foam kit for the 1966 barracuda seats!

I don't know if these pictures will help you or not, they are the only ones that I have when Paul and I did the seats in my 66. Bob

small bolt pattern rally's 66 barracuda

I have the small bolt pattern rally's on my 66. when I still had the drum brakes on the front I ran 225 70R 14's all the way around with no problems. When I installed my disc brake conversion the 225's rubbed the front fenders on a sharp turn so now I run 215's up there. 225's first 215's...

Anyone use one of these radiators?

That shroud is not easy to find, I suggest you put up a wanted thread and see if anyone has a shroud that they are not going to use. Good luck. Bob

Anyone use one of these radiators?

There are no names on the radiator and I don't know who manufactures them. I bought mine off of eBay with the intentions of only using it until my factory one was finished but it's still in there now with no problems cools just fine even in stop and go traffic. Eventually I will re-install the...

Anyone use one of these radiators?

Thank You, your's looks very nice also. Here is a picture of the factory original before I installed the shroud, you can see the neck height pretty good there and then two more of the after market radiator from the inside. Bob

Anyone use one of these radiators?

The original metal shroud did bolt right up, no modifications needed I just had to insert the small nut pockets the radiator does not come with them and it keeps my 273 nice and cool. Bob

Anyone use one of these radiators?

I bought one of those radiators for my 66 273 barracuda and everything fit perfect. It was only going to be used until my original factory radiator was gone through and then ready to go back in but since it keeps my engine nice and cool and looks good in my car I have not made the change yet...

Where are the body numbers on a 66 Barracuda?

I believe the only matching item that shows it's a 66 engine is on the drivers side just below the head and 1966 273 should have the letter B. Mine starts out as B273 and I was told B is for 66 if there is someone out there with a 1965 there's should start out with a A273 not really sure on the...

Hey James if you look at the pictures at the top of this thread you will see that I already have the vacuum gauge fitting in it's correct port, the port that I was concerned with is the bigger port that's right behind the carb. Luckily I solved my problem today and now I am all set. I looked up...

I have looked at the mymopar.com parts manuals for both 1966 and 1967 and have not found anything in either one that shows the plug or what ever that port was used for. the manuals show the 273 engine and a break down of the parts but nothing specific on that it's self. The parts manuals don't...

Is there anyone out there that has a 1966 or 67 Mopar parts catalog that can look up a part and part number for me? I am trying to find out the part number for either the vacuum fitting or the plug or both that goes into the large vacuum port that's right behind the carb (please look at the...

    Underhood insulation clips

The ones that Dan showed you are the correct clips, but they are metal (rust) if you are worried about the correctness of the clips. I did not want to use metal clips on my hood insulation so I just went to the local bump shop in my area and they gave me a hand full of the modern day plastic...

Early Valiant with XHD leaf sprAngs.

It handles very nice. I replaced the stock factory springs (worn out) and it brought up the back end of the car about 4 inches. It was cheaper buying the JRS springs through Mancini's than it was if I would have bought them right from John R Springs them selves. Bob

1966 Barracuda Door Glass Rear Channel Run Liner

So I was able to do what I wanted to with the Just Mopars channel felt, I just seamed it down the middle and then up the sides. Wow what a difference in the window slop. 1966 Barracuda Door Glass Rear Channel Run Liner

Looking at steele, Speedway Motors, and also the one that I bought from Just Mopars they are all the same thickness it just that we need the 2 5/8" wide one and Just Mopars does not have it so go with one or the other carrier. Bob

1966 Barracuda Door Glass Rear Channel Run Liner

I do not know the answer to that but if I were you I would order the 2 5/8" felt either from steeles rubber parts or there is a place on line called Speedway Motors it's called Soffseal 420 and it is 2 5/8" wide part #92617242 $16.99 plus shipping which is cheaper than Just Mopars. If I can not...

1966 Barracuda Door Glass Rear Channel Run Liner

I am going to try and take the Just Mopars felt and run it right down the middle and then up the sides since the glass only rubs on both sides. I can't send it back because I have cut one strip to proper length. If this does not work then I will order the 2 5/8" felt and start over. For those of...
