Strange (and probably others) makes aluminum center sections for 9" Ford if that's an option. I don't know if anyone makes a Mopar aluminum center now, but changing to another make's rear may be a lightening option?
Yeah I think it will be pretty cool. Here are pics of when I first got it. A lot of things were done wrong on it, so I'm making them right, but it was complete except drive train. It won't look like this when done, it will be black and will have different rear spoiler. Not sure yet if keeping...
Yes, I will go a little over what I currently need, because I want it to be upgradeable later, should I decide to go big block, big juice etc. That was my intention from the start, to not have to re-do stuff later... make the car upgradable. I just wasn't sure what was completely overkill (like...
Thanks for all the tips guys. I've also been reading everything I can find, and it's all starting to make a little more sense. I still have yet to find one single source of solid information about this topic, but I've been piecing it together from here and there. I'm surprised that the Mopar...
Yeah, I was thinking about hard line for the main length of the car as well. Seems like it woudl be best. I'll just need to use the braided from hose to electric pump and so on. My main concern was just what size to use... I didn't want to go overkill.
Last night I actually decided for now to...
I'm not installing nitrous on my car yet, but when I install the fuel cell and braided hose/AN fittings, I want to make sure I use the appropriate size to install nitrous later.
I know a little about nitrous, but don't want to go all out learning everything right now, because I'll forget most...
Looks great! I'm thinking of Plasti-Dipping my Mirada, but my only concern is the jams... that if I Plasti-Dip the jams too, that it might tear and start peeling off in those areas due to movement or potential contact with the door/hood/etc. Did you do your jams? What do you think? If I do...
Is that all motor?
(I see on YT you wrote "The wagon has 8.5 compression 318 with 1.7something intake valves, iron head, iron intake , thermoquad, don't know the verter stall PTC with 5.86 gears It is a NHRA Super Stock eliminator."
I like it as is. The Dart that you can see a part of in my avatar is not being painted. I think your car has a badass look. All go no show. Of course, it helps if it can back up the look with go.
I have 2 A-body 8.75's in my garage now. Not for sale, but I'd consider trading the one that needs attention for an 8.25 that's ready to go, give or take. So, they are out there, pricier, but worth it for the added peace of mind and durability.
