1969 Dart 340 with 727 kick down linkage.

I'm using that cable also. A little pricey but when you don't have all the components of the original rods, this is a great alternative.

    Installed this last weekend

I did install a drain plug in the stamped pan... After this leak, I really didn't need any more practice on pan removal. I don't regret this purchase and am happy to say, as of this morning, it is still dry under there. (fingers crossed) Now, if it will stop raining, I can take it for a ride...

    Installed this last weekend

I even installed a drain plug in the stamped pan but the rubber gasket with the stamped pan didn't seal. Leaked like the Titanic. I also use the plastic dip around the shift cables (65 transmission) as they would tend to drip when sitting a while. Now that I have posted this, I expect red...

    Early 904 kickdown linkage

Just went through this crap and I just installed a cable from Bouchillon Performance BPE TorqueFlite Kickdown Cable Kit - Bouchillon Performance Engineering . A little pricey but it works and I was tired of the trial and error of what I needed vs. what I had  Good luck:thumbsup: I...

    Shift improver kits

So, I would have to shift the gear change all the time with this set up?? Having the Anti-drain back is appealing as one of my shift cables leak due to this.

    Shift improver kits

Are they worth it?? While my transmission pan is down, should I install one? 340 auto (obviously) 3:23 rear geared. Engine is near stock (purple cam, whatever that spec is). Plan is to upgrade the heads when funds are available. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    65 driveshaft possible upgrade

To clear things up, this is already done. The engine and transmission are together, running and driving. What led me to ask questions are that the shifter cable(s) are leaking (we believe) and before I sink any money into this transmission (new cables, etc.), I want to know if I'm dumping money...

    65 driveshaft possible upgrade

65 Plymouth valiant, 340, 904 automatic floor shifter. It has the “ball and trunnion” front joint on the driveshaft. Has anyone had any success in upgrading this type of driveshaft? I would like to keep this transmission as long as I can upgrade the driveshaft. I don’t plan on having big...

    lakewood bellhousing removal

I'll be doing this same thing next spring..... I believe that the engine may have to move a bit to get the bell housing off the engine, due to the tight engine compartment (firewall) and trying to slide the bellhousing off the engine with the clutch in the way.... I don't think that there is...

How do you like the gear vendor unit? Any issues with it? Was thinking about this for my car.
