    It must be in the water. I am starting a square tube chassis for my 75 Colt very soon. Not sure why it took this long to finally get a committment to myself, but it is now... I pick up the bandsaw to cut with tonight at 9:30pm!

    If spacers are needed, I would avoid the cast units from TD, and use a billet spacer instead. The billet vendors can build the spacer to your needs, width wise, and also with stud diameter in most cases.

    As I recall, the 9" has an additional bearing to support the pinion? There was a magazine article a while back, that discussed the difference. The 8 3/4 was right there in all aspects, with the exception of the additional bearing (I thought it was to support the pinion?)
