    Sealing a Fuel Sump

My local exhaust shop welded a Comp Engineering sump onto a new tank. After welding, they followed up with brazing or solder to ensure any pin holes from the mig welding were sealed. I like JB weld too, that stuff fixes everything.

    Any diesel techs out there

I would be looking at the fuel lines themselves, sounds to me like a leak in the line allowing the pressure bleed off. It seems to be a common discussion item on the diesel forums. Secondly would be lift pump, like AZ340 says. Lift pump feeds the high presssure injection pump at engine, and...

    Warped Thermoquad

I don't see any reason why it could not be sanded square. Use a straight edge to see where it needs leveled, and used a big flat sanding block, with fine paper, until it is flat all the way around. Clean good, and re-assemble.

    fuel guage with fuel cell

You need to find a sender that uses 73 Ω empty / 10 Ω full readings to work with the stock gauge. RCI does not offer sender in this configuration. JAZZ or one of the other fuel cell manufacturers might offer.

GM TBI on my 1970 360 duster

    1. I think the fuel lines are too small to feed your existing combo, with a killer carb or not. I would look at the non braided push style hose from Aeroquip, Russells, or Earls. The non braided stuff is still rated plenty high for what you are doing, is relatively inexpensive, and you should...

2bbl to 4bbl what kind of power increase

I agree, maybe 20-25? Increase will probably be in higher end of RPM, but at higher RPM the manifolds and stock cam will start to limit the gains.

    fuel system

You can get compression ends for the aluminum from Russel, that give it a completed AN look. The black or blue push type hose is NHRA approved until you reach stoopid fast speeds. It is called Twist-Lok from Russel, or Socketless from Aeroquip. I think Earls has it too. The only think you...

    Not getting fuel... big issuse!

remove the filler cap? Perhaps the tank is under suction, (vent line clogged or corroded).

    Hard restart after hot

Sounds like vapor lock to me. Losey gas these days tends to boil in the lines, you get a vapor lock. Try insulating the lines from the fuel pump to carb, move line further away from engine block, or a spacer under carb, to keep the fuel from boiling in the carb.

    Electric Pump HELP

That design pump is questionable from the get go. Alum housings, external motor, and the motor is not fluid cooled. The inline units, such as Aeromotive, are fluid cooled, so the fuel flowing through it absorbs the sound, and provides lubrication to the moving parts. They also have some...
