    An alternative is to have someone make you some replacements by 3D printing. The material would not be Bakelite and they would have to use your originals to take dimensions for programming the machine. The originals would be returned without being damaged. I don’t know what the cost would be.

    One possible cure for this problem is to have stronger plastic 3-D printed copies of the originals made. The price may vary depending on the type of plastic used.

    A Body Console Wood Trim Removal Help

    If the console body is metal then you can use Acetone or Methyl Ethyl Ketone to remove the wood grain laminate. If the console body is plastic or contains plastic areas, then use Isopropyl Alcohol (Rubbing Alcohol) to soften the adhesive backing on the simulated wood grain.

    WOW that is bright!! I'm glad that my '71 EV2 Orange Duster came with black interior otherwise I would have to wear sunglasses just to sit in it. LOL
