As it turn out I don't care for the Mopar cop wheels I had and have put on my Duster with Cooper Cobra's. To me it looks incomplete, even if I got centers and trim rings. My Summit makes a nice weld wheel knockoff, 15x8, that comes in a 4-1/2 backspace. some folks I know who know what they are...

Didn't touch the torsion bars. Just drove it around the neighborhood and she settled in quite a bit up front.

A few people have pointed out to me that the front and should be lowered a little bit. After looking at it for a couple of days I agree going to drop it 1 inch and see what it looks like

After much debate with my son, I am ordering 215/65/15 for the front and 245/60/15 for the rear. Final combo!

Nope, I really like how raw yet clean and fresh they look against the red car and it's black stripe. Simple chrome lugnuts go along with the limited chrome on the car...

For all who threw their 2 cents in. I did the wheels in black. The first 2 are done and I swapped the old 255/60r15s on to the rims so I could sand and paint the other pair. Here is how they look on the car

A dark dark gray nearly black could be it

If I ever win the lottery I would consider a set of these dark gray center caps on the black wheels....

I was thinking Rustoleum Satin Black on top of their Rustrefomer as a primer. Their stuff lays down nice for me. I'm hand sanding the wheels now... Poverty...lol

lol If black she will roll with no caps of any kind and chrome lug nuts, like this guy did. I have no budget for frills like center caps, and i will not admit my poverty with poverty caps... :mob:

What paint would you do on the Mopar Cop Wheels I'm going to run on my low budget build E5 Rallye Red Duster, Silver or Black? Not planning on beauty rings or caps. Just down and dirty painted hubs with some enclosed lug nuts. Need to use what I have. Thanks for your two cents!

I appreciate your thoughts. I won't sand blast due to the cost and the sand getting wedged in the seam. I will however spare nothing when it comes to elbow grease when sanding all the rust off the wheels and prepping for paint. I think these wheels will look awesome on my Duster when they are...

Yeah, I like that etching primer! Used it on my bumpers after sanding them down. Here is a pic of the rear mocked up to be mounted without the 73up bumper shocks and spacer. Top coat here is Rustoleum Sunrise Red, Which is so close to E5 Rallye Red it's un-noticeable. Needless to say, I LOVE...

Im going to be refinishing 4 cop car wheels for my low budget Duster project. Going to clean and sand them by hand with wire wheel/brush and sand paper the steel wool. I really like Rustoleum Rust reformer as a base coat. I'm wondering if the Mopar Performance Argent Silver or the Eastwood...
