I’m going to be selling these chrome bumpers I had done at Tri City Plating and I’ll be staying with my painted bumpers. I’ll be posting them in a for sale ad this evening.

A couple things. I have softened my stance on the H pipe, and I will be putting one on the car within the next month or so. I also had a set of beautiful bumpers chromed at Tri-City plating. They are absolutely gorgeous. Every time I walk out to the garage and look at the car, I get a little...

TF I have Flowmaster Delta flows on her now and I’m getting tired of the racket. Looking for something more subdued. And I need to get some 275s on the back of the car. Looking from the back the car needs some more meat.

The rear is original to the car, only the diff itself was upgraded to a suregrip with 355 gear. As you can see in the pictures with the 245 tires, I’d need a wheel with a 3” backspace to fit a 275 tire. That would fill out the wheel well better as well

245s on a 7” rim with 4.25 backspace leaves 1/4 clearance on the spring.

I’m going to avoid spacers. Im Thinking with the chrome bumpers I’ll get some cragar super sports. They come in all sorts of different backspaces

    Father-Son 1974 Duster Project

The wheels I have now are 4.25 backspace and if I put a 275 on those wheels, the tire hits the leaf spring. So my thinking is if the back space is reduced by 1 inch the wheels will move further away from the center of the car and push the tire out from the center and give me clearance on the...

    Father-Son 1974 Duster Project

Well my chrome bumpers are on the from TriCity Plating. I’m not sure if I’ll be happy with the upgrade. The car has had painted bumpers since I resto-modded it but we will see. Next projects I’d like to do are finding some wheels with 3.5 backspace so I can get a 275 on the back without...

Ha! The car has been at this shop since Christmas! It's a one man operation and he has had Covid twice and getting some of the parts has been a challenge. All that aside he has gone through everything that was not up to par and addressed it. I'm guessing he will have the car a few more weeks and...

    Javelin

I finally made some time to run the Javelin over to the body shop so the RamAir hood can be repaired and painted. They did their paint match and pulled off the hood and I drove it out of there the keep it clean and dry while they do their thing. Kinda cool driving a small cube 2 barrel V8 with...

    Javelin

2 of my sons and their friend took a road trip to deliver the roller to the buyer and pick up the ‘70 304 car. The brought the Ram Air hood with them and swapped it onto the 304 car. The hood from the 304 car will be a part of the roller car. Aaron is happy he has a very clean Running Javelin...
