    That's a lot of cam for a 318, especially with 1.6 rocker arms. What did your compression ratio work out to? You need at least 10:1 with those aluminum heads. You may also want to consider 3.91 gears and a 3200 stall convertor to help overcome the soft bottom end.

    That's kind of apples and oranges. But it is an interesting comparison just the same. 42lbs injectors are only good to about 500hp. If you want 700hp, then you better get some 52lbs or bigger injectors.

    No, if you are a really anal nitpicker you go to comps website and get the actual lobe lift, which for the XE274H exhaust lobe is 0.327, and multiply it by 1.6 to give you 0.5232. :) xe274h specs

    By flat top, he means neither a dome or a dish... flat. Yes, you will need valve reliefs. But what you don't need is 4 valve reliefs like some of the TRW pistons have. Look for a compression height that will get you close to zero deck. That will keep you from having to mill the block excessively.
