    Water spots on glass.

Distilled vinegar will disolve most mineral deposits. And Bon-Ami is a good non-abrasive cleaner if the vinegar doesn't work. I used both on my Dart with good results.

    Torque boxes

I was looking around on the Auto Rust site that someone posted a link to recently and saw these Torque boxes. I was wondering if anyone here has installed a set, or has a chassis with factory torque boxes. Do they really make a dramatic difference? Are they worth the $250? I plan to install some...

I would happily take that 'worthless' hood off your hands. How much do you want for it, and where are you?

    Por 15 ?????

I had to do some searching, but I found the site I read that on. And it is from a distributor, not the manufacturer. por store So maybe my original statement was a bit off, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

    Por 15 ?????

NEVER spray POR15 unless you have a forced air respirator. It has some nasty solvents that will fry your brain cells. And when brushing on, always do it out in the open with LOTS of ventilation, and still use a respirator for added protection. I usually use a sponge type brush when I apply...

    Dart/Demon hood emblem

I will take a pic of mine when I get home from work. The emblem is not there at the moment, but you can see the outline where it goes.

    Any welders on the board?

I am not a welder, but I do dabble a bit. Flux core splatters. With sheilding gas, you get very little splatter. I bought the gas kit for my mig when I bought the welder, but I did not use it right away. I got crappy ugly welds. When I added the gas, even my welds looked pretty nice.

    Spring for Glass hood

I'd take the springs off and prop it up with a sawed off broom handle. :geek: Actually, the gas pressurized struts woud be pretty cool.

Performance Hood Treatment for a 72 Duster 340 question.

I like that look too. Do they make one that says 416 Wedge? :burnout:

    Door glass

No, it won't. I was looking up info on Dusters a couple weeks ago and ran across this article http://www.valiant.org/duster.html

Protecting surface that has small surface rust already?

Warning, slight thread hijack ahead... I need to do this to my roof. What grit sandpaper should I use? Do I need to remove the old vinyl top glue before I start sanding? And is there any other surface prep I should do before I spray the primer?

    new headlights

Do not use higher wattage lamps with the existing wiring. It was barely adequate when new, and the additional strain of more current flowing trough the wiring and switch could cause a meltdown or worse a fire. At a minimum you should add a headlight relay and power the new lights directly from...

    POR-15 paint

Just don't get it on your skin, or you'll be wearing it for at least a week. I would recommend one coat of POR-15 followed by one coat of their chassis black. The POR I used is a very high gloss. The chassis black is supposed to be more of a satin finish that looks very OEM like.

    POR-15 paint

I used it on the floor pan of my GN. Worked pretty good I think. I had heavy surface rust, so I used a 4-1/2" angle grinder with a wire brush to knock off all the scale. Then prep'd with their marine clean and etch. The POR-15 brushed on smooth with a foam brush and it dried glass smooth. Nearly...
